Edit Your Display Name and Profile Photo

Your WhatsApp Business display name and profile photo represent how your company’s identity will appear to customers when you send messages. Once the display name is approved, you may update it whenever needed.

Prerequisites

Before changing your display name, make sure you have:

• Created your Business Portfolio

• Registered your phone number for the WhatsApp Business Platform through one of the following:

  • Created a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) with your Solution Partner

  • Created a WABA as a Solution Partner

• Connected your phone number to the WhatsApp Business Account

• Qualified for a display name (your business must meet Meta’s requirements for review and approval)

⚙️ Step-by-Step: How to Change Your Display Name

In Meta’s WhatsApp Manager

1. Open Meta Business Suite

2. Click the main menu

3. Select WhatsApp Manager

4. Choose the WhatsApp account (WABA) where you want to update the display name

5. In the left sidebar, go to Phone Numbers

6. In the Name column, hover over the current display name

7. Click the pencil icon ✏️

8. In the Edit display name section, enter the new name

9. Click Next to submit for review

Meta will re-evaluate the new name. Once approved, it will appear for all customers who receive your messages.

You can also update the profile photo that appears to your customers.

Steps to update your profile image

1. In WhatsApp Manager, select your WhatsApp Business Account

2. Go to the Phone Numbers section

3. Click the phone number whose profile photo you want to update

4. Under Profile Settings, look for Profile Photo

5. Click Upload or Change Photo

6. Select an image that meets Meta’s quality and policy requirements:

   • Square format (recommended 640×640 px)

   • Clear logo or brand image

   • No excessive text, watermarks, or borders

7. Save your changes

Your new profile photo will appear to customers once approved by Meta.
