This tutorial accompanies the support video provided to help you create your WhatsApp Business account and enable all required Meta permissions for integration with your Patagon AI Agent.
Prerequisites Before You Begin
To ensure the process works correctly, you must have:
An active phone number not linked to any other chatbot, API, or WhatsApp account
The physical SIM card installed in a smartphone
Access to the smartphone to receive the SMS verification code from Meta
Without access to the SMS code, the process cannot be completed.
Confirm that you have already accepted the invitation to access the Patagon AI platform
The page will open automatically
Select your organization from the displayed list
Click Continue
Start the WhatsApp Embedded Signup
On the next screen, click the blue button:
WhatsApp Embedded Signup
A Meta window will open for authentication:
Click Continue as [your name]
Then click Get Started
Business Manager Configuration
Meta will display the available business assets.
Select your Business Portfolio (if you have multiple BMs, choose the correct one).
Proceed to create the required assets:
✅ Create WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
✅ Create WhatsApp Business Profile
Application & Display Names
WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) Name
Use the following naming standard:
COMPANY NAME — PATAGON AI
This name is for internal identification and future support.
Display Name
This is the name visible to your customers. It must:
Follow Meta’s Display Name Policies
Represent your business clearly
Select your business category (industry/segment).
Enter & Validate Your Phone Number
In the phone number field:
Enter the number that will be used by the Agent
The number must not be in use on standard WhatsApp or any other system
After entering the number:
Choose SMS verification
Enter the code received on the smartphone containing the SIM card
If everything is correct, Meta will confirm:
✅ Phone number successfully linked
Click Finish.
Integration Status
After completing these steps, the integration will be created inside Meta and will only require final connection on the Patagon AI side.
